Ive just sold my GSX1100F and looking for a Blackbird, ~Ł2000 to spend.

Ive tried a Bindit, but not impressed. Sat on a Busa and a Grixer, but
they where too small. Im 63 with long legs and a beer gut, what other
bikes could I consider?

A big ZZR. fairly obviously.

You wont get a 1200 for 2k, but you should be able to find a ZZR1100
for that sort of money.

Thanks. Had a quick look on eBay, they appear to hold their price better
than the bird. Whats the sitting position like? Anyone near
Grange-over-Sands got an 1100 I can have a sit on? Whats reliability like,
better or worse than Honda?

I know youre a) not a fan of Hondas & b) a Kwacker fan-boy, but do
you really think the ZZR1100 is better than a Blackbird, and if so, in
which way?

Well, the OP was asking what other bikes he should look at, and the
ZZR is obviously in the same space.

I think that in most measurable criteria, the Blackbird probably is
better than a ZZR1100, tho as the resident Kawasaki fan-boy Id
still say the ZZR is more fun to ride. I cant comment on the
ZZR1200, as Ive not ridden one (tho reports say it didnt really do
much that the 1100 didnt, and looked a lot worse).

I rode the ZZR1400 a couple of weeks ago, and it moves the
hyper-motorcycle game on a bit again, and Id say its now measurably
better than the Blackbird

sure, and why wouldnt it be, being so much more recent and having
300cc more.

However, why the hell did they have to make it so ugly?

The ZZR1400 moves one or two other things on such as - the probability of it
being declared a write-off after a 30mph spill
