Original go-nowhere peanut tank?

Other than possibly the tank, certainly sounds like the kind of spec
Im looking for.

Big-twin cowbell horn
Saddlebag inner bags
Chrome battery cover (new battery a couple of months ago)
Chrome steering stem top nut cover...

>Original go-nowhere peanut tank?

No, it the later go-somewhere peanut tank; the one that reaches back to
the seat rather than leaving a gap

>- got a picture
Not a recent one I dont think, but I can sort something out when the
sun comes out

>- ow much?

Ill check on what theyre going for, but bearing in mind condition and
that (most of) the Ł5k or so of mods are the desirable ones rather than
the cosmetic ones, I expect itll be Ł4k+. Its one of those awkward
situations where it would be worth far more if I put it back to stock
and parted it out it would be worth significantly more, but if I had
time to do that, Id have time to ride it IYSWIM.

Bit too much chrome for my liking. Not unusual, though.

Any live to ride emblems?[1]

Ah, the go-almost-somewhere tank. Which means Id still have to budget
for the bigger tank then. And some cash for the usual suspects to paint
it.

Would be much appreciated.

Thats a bit high for a 97 - Im beginning to see 04-on 1200s for that
kind of money (and theyre nicer in the sense that theyve finally
got a rubber mounted engine).

I appreciate that its got a heck of a lot of mods on it and Id
probably have to see it to make a judgement but even something that
modified seems to go for under 4k these days.

I do, Ive got a few bikes like that.

[1] I just went to see a 92 yesterday that was covered in them. I
estimated at least 500 quids worth of parts to put it back where I
would be able to ride it without a fake beard

Dennis of Sunami in Morden had a really nice Sportster in the showroom,
last time I looked. Early 2000s model - cant remember - with all the
desirable bits on it, including the nifty QD screen and soft luggage,
for under Ł4k IIRC.
