100%, in my experience (and that is on more than one bike - my CB500 sold
pretty swiftly a couple of years back). Though Im sure youre correct that
a lot wont sell, or will take a very long time to.

I think people asking too much is the main problem. MCN may be crap, but it
has a big circulation, and a lot of bikers I know will turn to it when
looking to buy a new bike - even if they dont normally read it. However, I
think many (most?) people with bikes form attachments to them - more so than
with cars - and hence dont want to see them go for what they see is a low
price. That or theyre just money-grabbing barstewards who want to wring as
much cash out of them as possible.

Absolutely - particular so as 10000 miles PA on a bike is considered high
mileage. Great for folk that me that woulnt even consider a new bike though
:-).

I still reckon youll do better out of newspaper / magazine advertising that
E-Bay though - I think a lot of people dont trust it, or dont like the
whole auction thang.
