For that sort of price it doesnt really matter where or what you get,
theyre all mostly shite ... but good enough for knocking about
village/town/city on. I wouldnt do too much mountain biking on one.

.. is a much better bike, but more expensive and will take a lot more
punishment than the one you posted.

As you posted in Euros and a non-UK site I guess you arent in UK? If so
whereabouts roughly are you? Decathlon are a French firm, and their prices
are pretty cheap over there.

Never heard of that make, but it might be Spanish only.

But, at that price, its likely to be fairly rubbish. Spend a bit
more and go for a known brand - that site lists Marin and Giant, both
of which are good.

In the tradition of recommending your own bikes Ill say Ive got a Dawes
Galaxy and its great.

Its not a mountain bike, its a 10 speed racer with drop handlebars and
as every boy knows thats what you want to find under the Christmas tree.
Although in my case I found it in darsys garage.

Looks OK, but as is often the case, theyve bunged eye-candy like
suspension forks and a front disk on it at the expense of other
components.

Its not possible to see all of the bits, but of those that are
listed, I note that the gear shifters are very basic, with a single
up/down action, and the front one isnt indexed.

This means that for rear changes you click the lever to the required
position (which may mean lifting your hand from the bars) whereas for
the front its just like in the old days with a friction-locked lever
which you move to the correct point by feel.

Not too big a problem for what you want, and the rest of the bike
looks OK for that price.

Ignore all the you need something a bit less shite posts. From your
previous questions and the discussions ensuing its clear that you
dont. But better gearchanges would be worth looking for.
