Mrs WUN has a need to synchronise My Documents on her lapdog and
desktop. My Briefcase sucks. Weve tried BeinSync, but it seems to
have issues as well (creating a document on one machine does not make it
appear on the other).

Anyone got recommendations?

Pikey solution resorted to for SWMBO the Queen of Luddites - USB pen
drive.

I thought about that, but it has major up-fuck potential. Id really
like something that just does it automagically.

Second Copy can probably do this with the right config, and subject to the
machines actually being on at the appropriate time. Its a very solid
backup solution that Ive been using for years.

Granted. The wailing and gnashing of teeth when she thought [1] she had
lost said item, along with all her end of year reports it had taken
hours to peck in with two fingers, was not an experience any chap would
want to repeat.

[1] I had just begun re-typing the additional stuff needed for her,
after retrieving the last backup to HD, when it turned up somewhere
suitably ridiculous (the bathroom bin). She now wears it on a cord
thingy round her neck.

Interesting. It seems to fall at the needs a mapped drive fence.
Thats a pain because its hassle when the lapdogs away from home it
cant see the other machine to map to it. So (unless anyone knows
better) it bleats, and then doesnt map the drive again when it *does*
get on the network.
