A good course will get her through the Practitioner Qualification in 3 days
[1] - mine did, I think it was through Swing IT Training, but Im buggered
if I can find a link for them (Swing has too many Java / Wifeswap
connotations).
[1] Shell know nothing about managing projects, and not much about
Prince2, but shell get the qualification [2]
[2] The Prince2 practitioner 3 hr exam is Open Book. This is of virtually
no help at all if you have the OGC texts. If you have the two fat
ringbinders of custom material that my trainer provided its a piece of
piss, since they restructure the material in a variety of ways that mean
youll almost certainly have the answer to one of the questions in totalis
[3], as long as you understand the structure of the material. The OGC P2
manual would help you not at all. You still have to write a fuck of a lot
though, keyboarders will get cramp.
[3] If she actually needs to practise Prince, theres little you can do
beyond managing projects whilst acknowledging some of the uniquer aspects
of the approach. The knowledge is no more than a methodology, which is
about 1% of the way to successful PM....
