wanted real opinions.

were moving house. need to cancel old and start a new broadband
connection as Pipex dont do a transfer.

Pipex are 14.99 for three months followed by 23.44 thereafter for a
1meg, uncapped, unmetered service.

Isnt everyone going to 2Mb as the exchanges are upgraded, regardless of
which you subscribe to ? (UK)
Im using Plus.net at Ł 23 for 512k soon to be upgraded to 2MB pipe for no
extra cost (although there is a fair use policy)

Im on Plusnet, 21.99 for 2 meg. The fair use policy got binned (see
article on the reg) and they shoved the high users onto a bad boys
pipe.

I was on eclipse, even on 512 (before the regrade) Plusnet was quicker.
I got the 2 meg regrade yesterday and speed tests only show 1.5, but, no
big deal for me. Unfortunately down time is, Eclipse were *dreadful* in
May, and it was one of the reasons I left. Plusnet have had one outage
(schedule maintenance that my router needs a reboot to recover from) in
the 5 days Ive been with them. Nice front-end on the web for Plusnet
though.

Not everybody is being upgraded, Eclipse had no plans to upgrade
anybody.

Plusnet also do discounts for referrals - hint hint.

I use f9 residential 2Mb capped at 2G+payg and it works. Other than
issues with movies on my web site I never come near the cap even
downloading porn.
