But, the less fluid you have in the res, the more air you have, so the
more likely it is to be absorbed. The bellows minimise this.

I wouldnt be as annoyed, but I still feel its a matter of politeness
and I should have been asked.

This would obviously be different in an emergency of someone about to
reverse into it or summat.
